About Julie Larson

Julie Larson is an orchestral composer turned songwriter. She was classically trained at the Thornton School of Music at USC in Los Angeles and has a long career as an orchestral composer. Julie has written 5 albums of music that she likes to call “soundtracks for the Christian life,” based on the music of traditional hymns, and she wrote the soundtracks for her husband’s two documentary films, The Star of Bethlehem, and The Christ Quake.

Julie was part of the worship team at Grace Bible church in College Station, Texas for many years and loved helping to lead people into worship. She began writing worship songs and discovered her passion. These songs are the prayers of a spiritual journey, touching issues and questions and praises close to every heart.

Julie lives with her husband, Rick Larson, in Bryan, Texas and they attend Grace Bible Church in College Station. She has a beautiful daughter Marion, living in Seattle.
